Hello everybody,
First off sorry this is coming out so late. This is Tiffany house sitting for family and fully running into all the issues, so if I’m slow on responses it is probably that her cat keeps trying to bring me birds in bed and that is fairly time consuming lol
We’re revamping a few processes! Things were starting to feel not great in terms of how we were dealing with concerns and complaints, so going forward if you have an issue here is the process:
1. Please email the staff email or make a ticket. Telling staff in person is great, but using an official channel ensures you get a response.
2. You will be contacted by me (Tiffany) to set up a meeting and talk about what is happening so we can make sure we aren’t missing anything through the written communication and so we can work on a solution together.
A. If you are having an issue with another player, I will also offer to reach out to them and make the meeting a mediation, but you are not required to accept that offer.
B. In person, Facebook messenger, zoom, or discord all work so long as there’s tone and expressions.
3. After the meeting comes the work! If your issue does not involve other players, this is where staff meetings and rules calls happen. If your issue does involve other players and you didn’t want to meet with them, we will meet with them to work on solutions as well, and there may be subsequent meetings as needed.
4. After any necessary determination or action, I will reach out to make sure your issue was addressed. This may not mean you agree with the call, but makes sure part of the concern wasn’t missed.
And there it is! I also wanted to hit on a few things about concerns/complaints
* This process is now standard but exceptions apply for extreme circumstances (things that break the law, bigotry, violence, and so on)
* If you have an issue with another player and wish to be anonymous please just indicate that in your email and staff will keep your information out of the conversation with the other player.
* Because we want to make sure everybody gets heard, I’m taking over as aST Meditation and Arbitration. If for any reason you aren’t comfortable working with me, please just indicate it in your email and I’ll make sure Casey handles it (and no hard feelings!)
Another process we’re updating is plot management! While we continue to work on rolling out the plots on the spreadsheet (at any given time there will be about 4-7 domain plots and 1+ plot per gang once we’re done), for right now we’re seeing some people feeling like they haven’t had a lot of opportunity to get involved. In order to spread the love a bit, when a plot is introduced there will be a brief OOC discussion led by the ST just to make sure there is time for those who wish to lead plot engagement to raise their hand so we can spread the love and make sure everybody gets to have fun. It also gives me a chance to update the spreadsheet so we email the right people.
